What is a Guardian Home?

When you become a Guardian home for me you take one of my puppies home with you to love and raise as your own pet. You take care of the puppy as if you had bought the puppy from me. The puppy becomes a member of your family but still remains a breeding member of my breeding program.

What is required of a Guardian Home?

As a Guardian home you are required to be in agreement of the Guardian Contract. You are responsible to take the puppy into your home and care for and love the puppy as you would any of your pets. Your responsible to make sure the puppy is vetted when needed, kept up to date on vaccinations, flea treatment, training, NuVet Vitamins, and kept on food decided by breeder. When it is time to breed your responsible for arranging to get the dog to me for breeding and then again for when it is time to have puppies. The Guardian family is responsible to keep the breeder informed of any changes in the puppy.

What the Breeder is responsible for?

The Breeder is responsible to be available for the Guardian family to contact with questions or concerns. The breeder is responsible to make all decisions in regards to breeding the dog as well as pay for any expenses that are inquired with  Genetic testing, OFA testing, breeding and having puppies. The Breeder is responsible to care for the dog whenever it comes back for breeding or whelping/puppies.

What happens when the dog is ready to retire?

When the dog is ready to retire it will be Spayed/Neutered and remain your pet. You will have full ownership at this time. However just like any other puppy, I will remain available to contact with any questions or concerns as well to receive any pictures and updates as often as you wish!

If being a Guardian home for one of my Boston Terriers is something you are interested in I would be happy to discuss this further and see if your family would be a good fit for this program. Please send me a message through the contact page.
